Need a quick & easy way to wrap a gift? Here’s a neat idea that requires just a little bit of love for crafting, and not much else. These pouches are made with a 12 x 12 piece of vellum, scraps of yarn & felt and paper inserts such as maps, sheet music or even comics!
Fold the vellum in half, cut out pieces of felt … circle, hearts or strips. Use the zigzag setting on you sewing machine to sew these on the front half of the vellum … I put mine towards the bottom.
Sew a straight line right across the bottom … then fold the insert to fit inside the vellum.
Wrap yarn around the pouch, tie off and add a pretty tag … simple, quick and cute!
In a pinch you can put one these together for a child or adult’s gift. Try using scrapbook paper or even old book pages to tailor it to the recipient. Fun right?!
Happy Wrapping!
